The Early Life of Lonnie Wills:

Lonnie Wills was born in Portland, Oregon in March, 1970.  He was raised in Vancouver, Washington by his parents Michael and Janie Wills.  His father was a veteran of the Vietnam War and went on to serve in the national guard.

In 1977, Lonnie's parents started Mike's handyman service, a small construction company specializing in bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, additions and interior and exterior residential painting.  Lonnie learned to build and paint homes as he worked for his parents on weekends and over summer

Starting a business in 1977 was not easy and Lonnies parents understood hard work and persistence was the key to success. His Father, Mike Wills, would often say if you're not giving it 110% then you're not working hard enough. Today Lonnie's mother, Janie Wills, still runs the family business at 72, doing kitchen and bathroom remodels, painting and smaller projects to keep afloat during these current economic challenges.  Mike struggles with dementia and chronic back pain and Janie cares for Mike while continuing her volunteer work with the VFW and their company Mike's handyman Services.

As Lonnie grew in this environment he was always thinking about ways to earn extra money as a kid mowing lawns and delivering newspapers.  In high school he was involved with Vocational Clubs of America (VICA) where he became the state president of the organization in his senior year of highschool.  It was his goal to put a plan together to start his own tech company by the time he was 30 years old. He embarked on college and attended Clark College and wanted to serve his country’s  like his father and his grandfather before him.

So, after high-school Lonnie joined the US Marine Corps where he served in the Reserves from 1989 until 1997. He went to MOS school as a 1341 heavy equipment mechanic and was stationed at Swan Island, Portland OR.

During the early 90s Wills began working at IBM where he became a network engineer and Data analysis expert and later a manager at IBM. With an IQ of 165, near photographic memory, Wills was preparing to leave IBM and start his first company in Artificial Intelligence at the end of 1999.  Wills learned very quickly the challenges of running a successful business as one of his key customers in the early 2000's was Enron.  Enron owed him over 240k in past due payments for his team that was on the ground working at Enron. Wills never saw that money paid, and ultimately had to take out a second on his home to make payroll for his team during Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Wills sold the company and begin working as a private consultant for the Department of Defense.

Wills is the father of two incredible children who are both grown and pursuing their own dreams. Wills was deeply involved in his kids lives as they aspired to play soccer, swim competitively and lead academically in school. Kristin is in the Navy and working to become a medical doctor and Justin is the Chief Technology Office of G2 Technologies.  Wills remarried in 2022 to Pamela and they are both Christians who are working in their local communities to help others in need with a focus on helping Veterans in need.
